TechSEO Boost - Apps script for SEOs
via @dsottimano
We made it across the pond for our first ever TechSEO Boost conference, earlier this month. It proved to be an extremely good decision, as the level of presentations AND attendees was...next level.
David's presentation was our favourite of the lot, as he showed how to use Google Apps Script in order to (you guessed it) build shit in Google Sheets. It was fun and entertaining and useful, all rolled into one.
But WAIT, you don't need to just browse the slideshare, because the awesome folks at Catalyst also published all the session recordings, so you can watch the whole conference while drinking mulled wine in your slippers, living your best life.
the search (SEO RPG game)
via @AlexisKSanders
This is an absolute work of art, from the brilliant Alexis Sanders. She built a a real life, proper SEO game! The perfect solution for when client work dies down over holiday season.
The SEO's Introduction to Rendering
via @Jammer_Volts
If there's one thing SEOs should take away from 2019, it's that rendering is not going away. In fact, it's starting to take over our lives. You absolutely NEED to understand how rendering works, and how it can change the way that users and search engines consume your content. This post is an excellent place to get started.
What happens when you remove informative content and redirect it to your homepage
via @rebelytics
As SEOs, we all spend a disproporiate amount of our lives telling clients why they shouldn't do X or Y. This is a story about how a client ignored the advice and went off piste with their own plan, and then their world turned upside down. Kinda reassuring, in a sadistic sort of way.
