Feature Comparison

Lite Pro
Chrome for Javascript
Sitebulb uses an Evergreen Chromium browser for crawling and rendering JavaScript content.
HTML for Text
The default crawler, Sitebulb will extract page content from the source HTML for crawling in a 'traditional' manner.
Crawler Sources
Beginning with the start URL, Sitebulb will extract all the links from the page and schedule the URLs for crawling. It will then cycle through every URL and crawl each of them in turn, adding new scheduled links as it goes, until eventually all pages are crawled.
XML Sitemaps
Sitebulb will parse XML sitemaps, and add any new URLs found into the schedule for crawling. Supports sitemap indexes and multiple sitemaps.
URL Lists
Provide a specific list of URLs for crawling, via a CSV file. Sitebulb will extract data from these URLs, but will not schedule and crawl any internal links found.
Google Analytics
Connect to your Google Analytics account to collect traffic and conversion data, and optionally choose to crawl URLs found in Google Analytics that were not found in the main crawl.
Google Search Console
Connect to your Google Search Console account to collect traffic and keyword data, and optionally choose to crawl URLs found in Google Search Console that were not found in the main crawl.
URLs per Audit
The maximum number of URLs that Sitebulb can crawl, per audit.
10,000 2,000,000
The threads (or instances when using the Chrome Crawler) influence how fast Sitebulb will crawl the website. To crawl faster, increase the threads/instances.
4 4+
URL Restrictions
Control how Sitebulb crawls the site by limiting the crawler and excluding URL paths and parameters.
Hints & Scores
Audit Scores
Every report generates a score out of 100, based on the Hints triggered, and an overall score for the audit as a whole.
Total Hints
Hints are common issues or opportunities that Sitebulb pre-processes for you, split into different sections of the audit.
138 315
Hint Priorities
Each Hint is prioritized into either Critical, High, Medium or Low, so you know exactly which issues to prioritise.
A combination of specific common SEO issues, along with all the Hints from Internal URL, Links, Indexability, Redirects, On Page and XML Sitemaps.
Internal URLs
The Internal URLs audit covers various issues in terms of URL paths and how URLs resolve, which can have an impact on both users and search engines.
The Links audit presents opportunities where internal link optimization can help search rankings, and issues with links which can have the opposite effect.
The Indexability audit deals with the robots.txt file, meta robots tags, X-Robots-Tag and canonical tags, and how these directives may impact the way in which URLs are crawled and indexed by search engines.
Page Resources
The Page Resources audit deals with all the resource files that make up the page content in addition to the HTML - images, CSS, JavaScript etc…
The Redirects audit deals with any and all redirect URLs found during the crawl, both internal and external.
Duplicate Content
The Duplicate Content presents all issues detected of duplicate content on the website: title tags, meta descriptions, h1s, as well as exact HTML duplicates and near-duplicates.
On Page
The On Page audit deals with the fundamental on-page elements that need to be handled correctly, for on-site targeting.
XML Sitemaps
The XML Sitemaps audit highlights instances where XML Sitemaps contain URLs that should not be there (i.e. URLs that don't return a 200 status code, or are not indexable)
Search Traffic
The Search Traffic audit combines Google Analytics and Google Search Console data, identifying pages with potentially concerning usage patterns.
External URLs
The External URLs audit is the place to go when you want to dig into the external domains and sub-domains that a site links out to.
The Security audit deals with security issues and vulnerabilities that Sitebulb will detect, for sites that have already adopted HTTPS.
The Front-end audit deals with performance improvements that can be gained by fixing HTML and CSS issues.
Code Coverage
The Code Coverage audit determines code wastage for CSS and JavaScript files across your website - where scripts are loaded into the page but not actually used for rendering.
Page Speed
The Page Speed audit deals with potential performance issues, focusing on optimization of the server, caching and the critical path.
Mobile Friendly
The Mobile Friendly audit is focused around issues that affect a webpage negatively when viewed on a mobile browser, and may cause the site to not be deemed mobile friendly.
The International audit is designed for websites with hreflang, and highlights issues with the configuration that can cause the hreflang instructions to be ignored.
The Accessibility audit utilizes the open source aXe library developed by Deque, running 50+ automated accessibility checks against the content and code of every page of your website.
The AMP audit is designed for websites using Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP), and highlights issues with the configuration that can cause AMP pages to be ignored by search engines.
Search Console Keywords
Search Console Keywords is a report that extracts and analyses keyword data from Search Console, allowing you to dig into keyword data such as impressions, clicks and CTR.
PDF Reports
PDF Reports
At the click of a button, produce a PDF report of your website audit, to send on to clients, colleagues or sales prospects. Create PDF reports for either the complete audit, or individual audit reports.

Crawl Maps
A unique site architecture visualization that shows the path Sitebulb took when crawling your website.

Frequently Asked Questions

* What is the maximum number of URLs Sitebulb can crawl?

Sitebulb Lite is limited to 10,000 URLs. With Sitebulb Pro, you can increase this up to a hard maximum of 2,000,000 URLs. By default the limit is set as 500,000, but you can adjust this when setting up your audit. If you are going to do this we would recommend reading our guide 'How to configure your machine for crawling large websites.'

What do you mean by 'user license'?

Sitebulb is licensed based on users, so a single user license will be assigned to one person - this user can then log into the Sitebulb tool to use it. If you have 3 people in your team using 3 copies of the Sitebulb software, you will require 3 user licenses.

I have a desktop computer at work and a laptop at home, can I use my license on both?

Yep. Your user license is tied to your email address, so you can log in at home and activate your paid license on your laptop. However, you cannot crawl concurrently on two different machines using the same license – to do this you would need to purchase an additional user license.

Can I upgrade to add more users to my subscription in the future?

Yes, of course. We have a whole guide on upgrading, downgrading and cancelling in our documentation.

Will my subscription automatically renew?

Yes. Every month, our payment provider Paddle will attempt to take payment from you, unless you cancel your subscription before this point. You can cancel at any time, and there is no minimum term.

How do I access the 14 day free trial?

Simply download the software from this page and register for an account, Sitebulb will do the rest. You don’t need to enter your credit card or anything like that, but if you want to continue using the full power of Sitebulb after 14 days, you’ll need to sign up for a license above.

Do you offer a discount for charity on nonprofit organizations?

Yes we do, please check out our page Sitebulb for Nonprofits, which covers eligibility criteria and what you need to do to apply for a discount.
